Tell Google to allow us to opt out of 2-step verification

Google has recently implemented 2 step verification as mandatory on accounts, this is resulting in people being locked out of their accounts for days or more simply because they don't have a phone, or want to share there phone number with Google. Some people rely on these accounts as their primary source of communication, as my Father does, and since this has gone into effect the only way I can communicate wit him is to drive there. He also can not get order conformations for his grocery's, as well as notifications from his Dr. or utility company's. This is devastating to him. and I am sure he is not the only one. I am asking you to join me in forcing google to give people a way to opt out of this that have no way to use it, I feel it is another way for them to track and get information that they can sell for a profit, I wish to take this one step further by asking people have also been affected by this, or who are serious about helping to contact me so I can try to get a group of names that I can send to the proper agencies that can help us and/or to become a part of a potential class action suit to stop google and similar companies from forcing us to give over personal information for their profit while harming the vulnerable that rely on free services like this for their day to day lives.
